American Inn - Baton Rouge

The place was very clean and the bed was the most comfortable I've hit outside my own. Housekeeping was on point every day, even on Thanksgiving. Dash, the owner, was super bubbly and friendly, a nice touch. Keith on security was also super helpful when I was feeling under the weather.

Truly enjoyed my 1 night stay. My room was large with a private bathroom. The staff was really helpful the entire time. The location was favourable - just walking distance from everywhere I wanted to go. It was about 0.5 miles from the airport.

It has very friendly and amicable employees. The location is good, plus there was a free parking. 15 minutes drive to the airport, it is located in the middle of jackson...

Request extra linens upon arrival, as the existing bedding might not be to everyone's comfort preference.

The check-in process was quick, and the owner was very friendly. The area felt unsafe at night.

The staff were welcoming and attentive, making the check-in process smooth despite our late arrival. The King Room was clean and equipped with a microwave, large fridge, and comfortable bed. The overall area felt a bit sketchy at night, so staying here requires a car.

The check-out experience was frustrating. I was given only ten minutes to vacate the room after being told I had until 11:30 AM. the sudden $20 fee for my kitten was unexpected and added to my aggravation. Finally, the area felt unsafe at night.

The hotel showed signs of age with outdated fixtures. Doors weren't sealed properly, allowing light and noise from outside. Encountered roaches , even after spraying around the room. Towels could only be exchanged by returning dirty ones, which feels a bit ridiculous. The mattress was two old pieces shoved together.

I was ready to rave about my stay, but the outdated hotel was an absolute no. Having to kill roaches multiple nights was less than good. What kind of hotel doesn't offer extra towels, expect me to give dirty ones back? For the price, you'd think i'd get a complimentary drink or something. Unbelievably disappointing.

Security personnel were on-site around the clock, offering peace of mind throughout the night. The room was simplistic, but it met all basic needs and remained clean . Although the location was convenient for access to downtown, the aesthetic was dated, reflecting an older hotel. I enjoyed the affordable rates, but a more modern touch could enhance the overall experience.
